Jamat ud Dawa Conference Urges to Block NATO Supply Lines

Islamabad: The All Parties Conference (APC) of Religious parties having title ‘Qaumi Majlis-e-Mushawarat for Tahufuz-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool’was held  on Wednesday  urged the government to block Nato supply lines and  demanded a meeting of “OIC” to formulate a joint strategy against blasphemous acts in the United States and Western countries.

The APC was organized by Jamat-ud-Dawa (JUD), an organization that was declared as terrorist outfit by UN through a resolution. The APC was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawwar Hasan, Jamaatud Daawa amir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Maulana Samiul Haq, Ejazul Haq, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Lt. General (retd) Hamid Gul, Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Ludhianvi, Liaquat Baloch, Maulana Fazalur Rehman Khalil and others.

Almost all the mainstream political parties decided to stay away from a multi-party conference called by Hafiz Mohammad Saeed’s. according to hafiz abdrehman makki Invitation was extended to every top politician and political party, from Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to PML-N’s Mian Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Thrik Insaf Imran Khan and leaders of the Awami National Party and Muthida Qoumi Moment(MQM). The reason of not taking part in the conference by  mainstream parties and leaders they were expecting an extreme position from  the religious parties over the  controversial video and other related issues.

A unanimous declaration passed by the conference urged the Muslim world to play its due role in making international laws on blasphemy with a death sentence for blasphemers.

Interestingly main Salfi Jamat Markazi Jamiat Ahlhadith led by Sajid Mir did not take part the conference. Every one was surprised why sajid mir did not present despite the invitation. It is also considered the success of jamat dawa who organized the conference, although Jamat Dawa is a banned organization  by both United States and United Nation.

A sad incident happened during the conference which will more isolate the shias community in Pakistan from sunni dominated country. A prominent Shai Leader Agha Murtaza Poya criticized the Saudi government in a very vulgar way during the conference but Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Maulana Fazal Rehman intervened and stopped the shia leaders to doing so. Because the agenda of the conference was one point to formulate the strategy to defend the Islam and Prophet Mohammad(PBUH)

The conference also unanimously resolved that if the UN failed to introduce proper legislation regarding blasphemy against prophets, the Muslim world should alienate themselves from this organization and form their own ‘Muslim United Nations’ and ‘Common Defense and Economic Council’.

The declaration predicted that such anti-Islam movies could cause a ‘clash between civilizations’ and a third world war. It also stated that freedom of expression was merely used as a tool against Muslims.

The conference demanded the US take action against those behind the movie, and if it was reluctant to do so, the Muslim world should cut off all diplomatic ties with the US.

The conference decided that a delegation comprising political and religious leaders would be sent on a visit to the rest of the Muslim world to make them cognizant of their responsibilities regarding the protection of the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It is said the APC believed that the US was equally responsible for the recent blasphemous act and demanded of President Obama to immediately impose ban on the profane film.

The APC demanded of the United Nations to pass laws declaring blasphemy as a crime and also called for exemplary punishment to those responsible for the blasphemous video clips and sketches.
